Point to Point Amp Wiring Help!

I am building monoblock amps based on the TDA7294 and I need some connection help. I am wiring the amps up point to point.

I need to attach lead wires to the pins of the TDA7294. There are like 15 pins coming off of the 7294. I bought some PC boards from RS that have holes and soldering pads which line up. I have tried inserting the 7294 into the pc board then soldering lead wires to the tips of the 7294 & the soldering pads of the pc board but the conections are a little weak. The lead wires must be bent afterwards to make the point to point connections.

I was wondering if there was some type of small copper sleave which I could slip over my connection wire and then solder it to both the connection wire and the tip of the 7294?

Would also like to hear any other suggestions for making this connection.

Thanks in advance.
