Hi BrassEars,To tame "digital nasties", you might want to try providing seismic isolation for your gear, especially your CD player. I've found a great deal of what I've not liked about digital playback is mitigated when the player is properly isolated from vibrations that would enter it via its feet. Search this forum for "Econo isolation" if you're interested.
