Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
OK, so I've been reading about how great Black Gate caps are for audio...
What I'd like to know is, if I replace the (tweeter) caps in my Xover with high quality (Black Gate) caps, what kind of sonic benefits should I expect to hear? Subtle differences, or worth the money & effort?
Are other parts (resistors, coils) worth upgrading as well? (If so, what's good to get?)
Which "line"/type of Black Gates are ideal for Xovers?
(BTW, speakers are PSB Century's, and JBL studio monitors (4408A - good ones) with titanium tweets.)
TIA!
