I recently installed a Xantech remote extender system allowing use of remote controls through a closed cabinet. This allowed me to bring out my audio system remote that I hadn't used in years. Now I find I have command conflicts; the Parasound receiver turns on/off with remote commands to the TC/cable box or DVD player, the Zenith VCR turns on/off with volume command to receiver, etc. The obvious culprit is my old Parasound DR65 receiver (used as preamp) which seems to have a very nondiscriminating remote command code. Anyone know a way out of this short of disconnecting the Parasound from the Xantech system?
