Re: Has anybody actually measured any of this?

What would have to be measured, would be the amount of jitter, and this is hard to do at the analog outputs, the jitter manifests as FM with goofy sideband patterns, and does not show up directly on most audio measurements, including THD.
Even a spectrum analyzer would only display the jitter indirectly, displaying the FM sidebands at their endpoints, with the actual 'waveshape' harmonics of the jitter FM displayed as what would appear to be 'harmonics' that were not frequency related to the endpoint spectral sidebands. Very difficult to read and analyze the resulting display.
