I just completed the JE Labs 45/2a3 amp and find it to be excellent.. It sounds a lot better than it should..maybe simpler really is better :)
i built it on an old organ amp chassis keeping the original OPT's(primary DC resistance of 265 ohms) which previosly drove 7199's.. The driver is a single dual triode, the 6SL7.. i am currently using two .1uf IC polypropelenes in parallel for .2uf coupling for each channel... It sounds so good i think i'll forget about ordering the Auricaps lol It sounds great with both the vintage 45 and 2a3's the 45's seem a bit more delicate and refined but have a lot of bass
