it would prevent the movement of the driver from producing sound into the cabinet, thereby not having to worry about the infamous boxy sound that every speaker have.Of course, you would have to redesign the whole driver, including changing the suspension so that it is at a neutral during rest, making the driver out of vapor deposited crystalline carbon, and a substitute for the surround with something like concentric sintered teflon rings.
