Call me crazy but I have been using a cheap 3" wide paintbrush from Home Depot. I just finished building a DIY Vacuum record cleaning machine and the records come out pretty damn nice. Even the really grubby thrift store finds clean up very well. Surface noise is greatly reduced.I don't have a basis for comparison as far as brushes go, but the one I use does a great job and costs next to nothing.
