Advice for A/C wiring in new home being built

We are having a new home being built which is not custom, so I have some, but not a lot of say in the details of its construction. I have a room earmarked for my A/V system, size about 24'8"x15'4"x9'. I have a 7 channel surround system with Lexicon processor and Aerial speakers. Currently there are 12 electronic components in the system. I also bypass the Lex for SACD, and plan to get a projector system eventually. I am not financially ready to completely build out this room, but need input as to how to have the room wired. I can pay to have dedicated lines in the room, or 220 even if that is an advantage. I have heard it is best to have the video on the same line as the audio. What about separate dedicated analog, digital and/or...? lines? I have also had some people say I should get a subpanel put in. Then of course there is this whole balanced power issue. Finally, the quality of wire is an issue. I was planning to use the existing outlets only for lighting in the room. Any advice, references, etc. would be appreciated. I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for truly professional advice regarding these issues. I live in Sacramento. Thanks!
