Hi Mitch, you'd expect the 240VAC load current to be half the 120V load current. Are we still talking the 120/240 autotransformer? If so, the bottom line is you'd have to make sure the autotransformer winding is good for the higher 120V current rating. The 240V line output from the trannie should measure about half the current in the 120V input line.
