After e mail correspondence with several tweaker source candidates, I placed my order with Chris Johnson of Parts Connexion in Canada.
I ordered the Jensen 3.3uF capacitors ($27 each), Caddock resistors of 2 and .5 ohm values to be connected in series ($6.75 each), Cardas wire and solder. The tweaks will cost substantially more per speaker than the speakers cost from Ubid.com, but I'm hoping that my first hot tweaking experience will result in a ridiculously good sounding speaker and that I avoid disaster.
Any tips (both cautionary and short cuts) from those who've done this before would be much appreciated.
I hope these tweaks make for a substantial upgrade to these pleasing speakers because the parts cost way more than the speakers did.
