electricity willtry and take the easiest /shortest route in my understanding and will therefore not be trying to get in from the far side of a spade connector. Unless this is easyier for it ie no oxidation as oposed to insulation on the other side.
As with all things use those precision instraments attached to the side of your head........if it sounds better one way it means it probably is !!
