I suspect it's not an AC problem. The preamp section of your receiver may be the area of concern or an interconnect cable. If it is an AC issue, it sounds like it's not a ground problem. You may need some type of AC line filter. Since I have not had the particular issue you mentioned I can only recommend trying an audio grade power conditioner first. If that does not help the problem at least you will have a better sounding system :-) and then you can address the issue further with a specific filter or you might need to repair the receiver. I'm sure somebody here will know what your issue is and inform you properly. Good luck.
