Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Hello hello,
I am designing inexpensive sub-woofers to put my monitors (my first sucuessfus design) on top of. I limited the response on my monitors to 70Hz. The peerless sub I am looking at is an 8" that runs about $60. WIth this sub in a vented 3.25 ft3 box i can achieve an fs of 20Hz. However I am quirous as to the quality of the bass that peerless drivers have. I have never workewd with them and I really do not want to spend a fortune because I am still in the learning proces. Otherwise Any other suggestions of 8" subs in that range that may do well? Any X-over tips intergrating at that low of a frequency?
Thanks for all your time!!!!!
Regards,
~A~
