The "high tech encryption scheme" is the addition of a computer file on the end of the cd. A normal cd player will ignore the computer file and just play the music tracks. A computer will try to read the computer file first before the music. The computer file puts the computer into an endless processing loop, disabling the computer completely. The black magic marker is used to make the computer file completely unreadable, so your computer just moves on and reads the music files. This is the exact opposite of what auric illuminator is supposedly doing.
