I haven't tried the Aurios but I have tried the Daruma III's which are similar to the Aurios, but cheaper (about $80 a set at Galen Carol). They were quite impressive on a CD Player -- improved transient response, smoother, longer decays, better resolution in the bass. I've also tried sorbothane gel pods, Vibrapods, and BDR cones (#Mk3). The Vibrapods didn't do much, nor did the sorbothane. The BDR cones did change the tonal balance and warm up the midrange a bit. My CD player is an Arcam Alpha 7SE, which is quite lightweight, although I did try adding up to 20 lbs. on top of the unit with each configuration. The best results were with the CD player unweighted on the Daruma's. On the other hand, the Daruma's don't seem to have any effect on the other components. In my experience every vibration device interacts a bit differently with each piece of equipment. It's more a matter of tuning than damping until you get to the really expensive isolation platforms. Those can provide a damping over a wide range of weights and vibration ranges. Each piece of equipment will have several resonant frequencies depending on its construction. Additionally it will interact with the shelf or support it is resting on. If the support is of a different resonant frequency, the two will not interact to a great degree. Ideally, the coupled system of component and support will have resonant frequencies either higher or lower than the audio range.
