Well, Ive cut the traces and performed the mod - was in hurry but forgot to include muting function. Weird thing is it doesnt seem to have lsot me a muting function. Any ideas? Have I not cut the traces correctly perhaps? There are certainly no pops/crackles when changing tracks. There seems to be improvement in the imaging and clarity areas - big gains in vocal intelligibility on hard to follow tracks - I think! - is hard to tell as havent had player very long at all.
