The only issue is if you pulled a permit for whetever reason for this job and it's being inspected. 20A can go on a 20A dedicated or multi-branch circuit. A 15A can go on a 15A dedicated or 20A multi-branch circuit. If no inspection, then mechanically or electically it's not a problem.
