Nick,I'm in the electronics industry and we always use Aavid Thermal Technologies, Inc. heat sinks. Look at the link I've posted below.
Get yourself their catalog, it has a dizzying array of thermal management products but particularly you'll be interested in their engineering data and how to properly choose the correct heat sink. They have an enormous selection of standard extrusions that you should be able to get through distribution. They also make them available in anodized colors.
