Below is a previous post discussing the use of the Spectrol model 132 precision wirewound potentiometers in my system. They are the best attenuation device I have heard easily beating any plastic pot or discrete resistor attenuator. The sound compares very favorably to a simple resistor divider using discrete precision wirewound resistors. I have also used the smaller diameter model 140 pots with an aluminum enclosure and they are also excellent although a little more costly./audio/general/messages/23439.html
