BG's & burn-in

It would appear so - from the general comments about them. Certainly the initial burn in of the AN DAC took forever to suddenly blossom into the awesome dac that it is.

Funny thing was, the last set of BG's that I used a couple weeks ago had an immediate positive impact (I'm sure more to come) but certainly did not impart such a negative one - though BG's may be highly (circuit) application sensitive, and hence need that infamous burn in. From the previous immediate positive results... had me wondering if the initial unit burn in was more transformer related (than cap).

Bur you're right... I need to exercise more patience before passing judgment. But was wondering if any folks out there have verified any cap - tube combos that seemed to work better than others. Couplings in the signal path make sense but might seem strange for the power supply side (to me anyway).

Tx,
S
