I dosen't matter what you plug in to the transformer as long as you don't exceed 2.5KVA. It is better to have everything on ballanced power if possable. I have two of these, one for the analog stuff and another for the digital stuff. Hard-wire the primary to the circuit breaker and eliminate the extra plug and socket.
Ballanced AC is way overlooked in audio and is absolutely necessary. IMHO
WARNING: Audio equipment warps space and time in its
vicinity.
