Get those el cheapo Radio Shack RCA connectors with plastic shells (8 for less than $3), throw away the plastic shells, and make a pair of interconnects with the connectors using twisted wire pairs from a CAT5 cable with Teflon wire insulation, and see whether they sound as good as the one you are using.Have fun!
