A few days ago there was a post about over/non oversampling switching with a to a pc connected cd-transport. I thought it was interesting and looked in de datasheets.
The diffence between the cdpro and sl-mk3 is that mk3 module hasn't got a microcontroller onboard. So I don't think it is possible to connect the module directly to you pc....
