The do look like they'd make good stepped volume attenuators. Gonna try to grab me a pair. Can't argue with the price if they stay at $10 each.Why not get a pair yourself and make a set of passives attenuators? Vishay/dale metal film resistors are cheap enough at 20 to 30 cents each depending the wattage rating. You can switch to boutique brands later if you feel like it.
