my gainclone and agree with the lower noise floor/better clarity and focus/deeper more robust bass.i think the lack of musicality is the result of your ears being better educated and now more discerning.
i think that when we give the system better and cleaner power the more noticeable are its shortcomings.
just like any other piece of equipment which satisfies for a while then after we hear something better we cant listen to it any longer and must have something better.
i say that you will never truly hear your system until you give it the best power possible.
id be willing to bet that if you changed some piece(s) for better piece(s) some of the magic/music will come back and then you get to start all over again. ;)
but then ............how clean was the recording studio power ?
and is it present on the recording ?
and does it matter ?
