If you can hear an improvment its a good move .........get your polarities the right way you can imagine how loud a bang a small cap can make if you get its connections wrong. Not to mention the smoke fiberes and metal case that tend to become super sonic ........yes I have done this !! but only once.
I tend to use 1uf 63v wima's on all electrolytics below 1000uf, with good sonic benefits.
