I would not try to compress 6 1/2" of fiberglass into a 2" frame all across the frame. My frame and fiberglass sizings were meant to lightly compress the fiberglass at the edges only, e.g., 6 1/2" of fiberglass into a 4" frame, 3 1/2" of fiberglass into a 2" frame.
You might be able to work 6 1/2" into a 2" frame IF you do not try to overcompress, and let it bulge away from the edges.
DO NOT use netting ot wire fencing to compress the fiberglass in the middle away from the edges!
6 1'2" of fiberglas, with the polyester batting covering will soak up enough bass to work well.
BTW, with 4 panels, two should be at the first reflection points, and these should be the thicker/uncompressed ones.
After that a panel each behind the speakers will give the best use of just 4 panels.
With bass traps in the corners, and the 4 panels located as I indicate, you should get quite decent results.
