You probably can get a significant benefit from replacing electrolytic caps in the output stage with poly (film) caps. Space might pose a limitation, though. A 10 uF poly cap would be adequate in almost all situations (even if the electrolytic ones are much larger than this), but they are physically pretty big--say, 2 1/2 inches long and an inch across.Norman
