Hi, if the amp is really big, I would buy two inexpensive cutting boards[try K-mart, Target, or Home Depot] and buy some 5/16 threaded 125-grain archery field points. The archery points are very inexpensive and you can get threaded increments for them, at the archery store. I would put the two boards side by side[leave an inch or two between them] under the amp. I would start with the amp on its own feet and depending on weight, maybe try some tennis balls or rubber stoppers. The hardware store sells rubber stoppers [like those used in a test tube] in various sizes, some quite large. I liked the stoppers better than brass cones under my amp. Although my amp sits on a slab of press board that has a formica top[I think it was an old countertop] and I use brass cones between the slab and carpeted floor.
this would get the amp off the floor and could probably be done for less than $25.
