I think you're way off in the amount of power you believe your headphones require. Grado's own amp only puts out 250mW. It runs for 40+ hours off of 9V batteries. A single BUF634 will put out 250mAOn average you are only going to use about 10-20mW. In fact the max power the 225's can handle is 200mW which would put them at 108dB. Even as a fan of massive overkill I still am not sure if you could tax a single BUF634 on any dynamic passages.
