I already have bookcases on the wall opposite the speakers (both are long walls). However, they are relatively full so I'll take up your idea of varrying the depth. There's only one short wall: to my left. I'll have to put some foam on this wall. It's four feet wide. Then there's the open pass-through to the kitchen, which is about four feet wide and four feet high. Then a one-inch wide wall (which is the end of a kitchen wall), and then the room entrance. The other short wall is filled with the window and balcony door (which also needs foam, I guess).
It's a mess, and I haven't a hope in making it a perfect sounding room, but I'd like to make it tolerable.Howard
