Thanks for the replies guys.
My main prob is that by the time I've imported a refoam kit to Aus, it's no longer cheap (& the drivers I've got aren't worth it). Hence the search for something I can obtain from the local hardware store.
The silicon sounds like a goer if I can get it on thin enough without putting a hole in the foam. PVA seems too brittle, maybe a flexible glue like kwikgrip might work too.
