I have a few of these and and find them very helpful.They clean up the power -- providing a more quiet background, cleaner sound and smoother textures. I've used them on numerous IEC and captive cords -- always to a benefit. I plan on trying them on the refrigerator power cord as well as the phone line, where the Shun Mook Cable Jackets work so well.
