Hi Leslie,I think it would be better to have a switch to connect the input signal only to the amp you want to use. This is because if you connect all three amps to the signal at the same time the input impedance of the two integrated amps and the pot in the passive preamp are in parallel so as to present a much greater load (i.e., lower impedance) for you music source. This may not be a problem if your source can drive a low-impedance load, but can be a problem for some sources (e.g., a CD or DAC with a tube output stage) that have a highish output impedance. Also, connecting all three amps at the same time makes the system more vulnerable to noise pick-up.
