I am also going to face this question pretty soon. FYI, which active crossover are you building? I am doing a couple of three ways using the ESP board/circuit.I was at first going to use Cat5 teflon that also derives from making Chris's braided cables (I got 1,000 feet of it...). Intuitively, it should be pretty good--although I noticed that a few colours of teflon insulation seemed to oxidize the wire surface a fair bit and so I would avoid using those.
But the lunar brigade in the asylum must be getting to me, because my current plan is to use bare silver wire (via jewelery supply folk--a cheap source) and teflon sleeving. I bought the silver wire chiefly to make up a few interconnects.
