Only when we sit down do we truely realise how many uncompleted DIY projects we have - lol

Hehe, its been a long crusade the diy route, it started with a pair voight pipes completed succesfully, i was inspired, then a DIY metal/ sand core rack, until i realised my major components sound exponentionally better on the concrete (carpeted) floor

i made a pair of mag wire ic's, absolutely gobsmaked at the results i aimed for dual ground wire, 45 gauge versions better still

i was getting more confident so i took the big plunge, making a monster granite/glass turntable out of my old project 1.2 tt

and it went great 90 % done when i became obessed with my in adequate phono stage so i ended up building my own, i complted it but it is still without a box or decent power conections

then it started to happen !

i had half finished a pair of room lenses (thx david aiken) and my amp slowy started slowly die

inbetween then it was some diy dual coaxial speaker wire

then my amp died, and without an amp i could not properly set the vta and weight of my tt, and be bothered to finish the rest

SO AFTER WEEKS OF LITTLE HIFI I AM SUFFERING A SEVERE CASE OF AUDIO NERVOSA

so beware dont get to confident one thing can ruin everything for weeks and it is hard to pick up again

my current status is a half repaired amp, with half finished phonostage, an almost complete monster turntable which is still yet to be sonically tested, a pair of half finished room lenses, and one rack that is at a stand still

hifi ... it is a house of cards indeed ... and now im left to my humble casstte walkman and the headphone output of my open reel

regards keegan

ps all will be well soon when i get my aska 55 watt in :)))
