Okay, even if the fuse is on the neutral it will still open if the unit is drawing too much power. On the other hand, if a bare hot wire shorts to ground the fuse won't blow but the breaker will trip. If you are really concerned it wouldn't be very hard to add another fuse, I.E. fuse both legs of incoming power. Best to leave your ground connected if you did have a 3 wire cord. You can always change polarity somewhere else or better yet, buy a new male plug and cut off that molded on one and wire according to tastes. Try smoking instead of drinking. That way you won't be able to see the smoke or smell it so you won't worry and will be able to better enjoy the music.Tkae care,
