Hello everyone,I have posted earlier and will go with the recommendation of the expert here to replace the NE5532P op amp with the OPA2604.
I have some more questions.
I just realize that there are another two pairs of op amp in my CD player. This player has a pair of 12ax7s tube as out put buffer.
Behind the tubes, there is this pair of TL071CP. I did a search here and could not find much info. Jon Risch recommended that the OPA604 is the ideal candidate but that post was for another application (amplifier, if I remember correctly)
Behind the TL071CP, there is this pair of LM741CN which I have read that this op-amp is for the DC servo in my cd player. I also read that for this application on DC servo, the chip has to have very low offset. Should I replace the TL071CP with AD711 or OPA604?
I will appreciate any comment and advise given.
Btw, I swap out 15 1N4007 diodes in this player and replace them with Harris RHR D460. The current is 4 time that of the 1n4007. Oh boy… the improvements are very obvious. It did not change the characteristic of the player but as if a pillow has been removed from my speakers. J
