The GG doesn't have a phono stage, but I think it's much better to use a stand-alone one (e.g., the Black Cube) anyway.You can buy the GG in kit form for under a grand, or you can even scratch-build it (the design is published in Burce Rozenblit's book Audio Reality) for considerably less.
