I removed the little plastic pin and did solder into this exact CDP. If you like, you can cut the PC off the pin and solder onto the old PC that remains in the pin. To do the soldering, I just put the CDP on its side, b/c the pins are orientated front to back. That way, the excess just drips down (onto a towel I had). Just solder to opposite sides of the pins. It'll be fine. If you're worried, put some tape on the PCB to protect it. Cheers!Brian
