Well, 32 Ohm or close value (in series with headphones) will drop power by half. This should be good enough. Or go with higher value if it is not enough. You can basicaly use any power rating for resistors, they won't burn. 1/4W is good.
For values to go inside the player, I would need schematic or to open a player and measure signals.
