Foil coils have a low DC resistance and no distortion - it is air coils made of flat copper. There are three different types: AWG12 (the biggest) - AWG14 (medium) - AWG16 (small)
A question to you, who are using foil coils in the crossovers of your speakers: What is your experience compared to ordinary air coils?
(I really like the sound much better)
