Eli,I just ordered 4 IXYS HEXFRED diodes from Vacuum Tube Valley and plan to use them to build my bridge rectifier. What I ordered were 600 volt max @ 8 amps. Does this sound about right to you? The only other choice was to go with 1200 volt max and 11 amps. They were twice the price. Basically, in terms of a 1962 McIntosh MX110 Tubed Tuner Preamplifier with a SS Rectifier bridge, did I do good in terms of the values I chose? I am going into this somewhat blindly, hoping to learn on the way. I want to do right for my Mac. Thanks for your help!
