looks intriguing, but there are a few questions raised:
- A better (and more expensive) alternative to the volume volume pot would be a multi-tap transformer for a stepped attenuator / interstage coupler. This sounds much better than a pot anyway, and integrating the attenuator directly into an already used transformer would help even further.
- Using such big RF filter caps (and any caps in principle) practically directly after a transformer must result in resonant interactions between RF cap and transformer series inductivity.
- Maybe a cap could be tried / used across the bias battery.- Fast soft recovery diodes are a sonical *must*!
