Re: Balloons under CD Transport!!

213.1.84.13

hiya all,

All plastics and rubbers will leak gases. Gases are by there nature small molecules and therefore can fit though the holes in there containers. Infact to make this problem worse the polymers will actauly pump the gas out. The spinning of the polymer chains pumps the small gas molecules out.

Soft drinks bottles are made from Polethylene Terathelate (PET) which is the best at keeping a small gas like CO2 in. (for the carbonation)

I would be surprised if any balloon would be able to keep itself full for more than about 8 months.

maybe this isnt a problem?

Thanks

P.S. thats also why under floor heating pipe should be plastic/copper/plastic. you dont really want air in your pipes and the plastic alone isnt upto keeping it out.
