Don't lurk here too often, but saw this at a totally non-audio forum:
Take your giveaway CD (or one that you really, really hate) and stick it in the microwave shiny side up. Nuke the CD for about 10 seconds on high (don't do it too long to prevent damage to the microwave).The result is some really great lightning-like patterns blasted into the CD. It's great, cheap fun.
And no, this isn't a tweak!
Hehehe. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Works even better with CD-RW disks by the way.
