I have a Philips CD-80. When cold, the unit seems to "skip." Roughly ten minutes latter the problem seeses.
I have always let a cd play with the volume down for a while and then turned the volume on the system up.
Today i turned the unit on without a cd. Waited a while and put a cd into the unit. It played fine.
Any ideas? The lense isn't dirty.Scott
