The "I Squared S" digital ouput is a mini DIN connector. The "I Squared S Enhanced" digital output is a DB25 style, 13W3 connector.

I'm very happy with the results of terminating an unused AES/EBU digital output with a 110 ohm resistor across pins 2 & 3 of the XLR connector.
Terminating an unused digital AES/EBU input the same way also helped.
