Hi,
Just a short question. How much DC-offset* is permisible on the Phono (MM) input???

Have a cheap IC based RIAA and removed a input DC blocking cap and rerouted the "ground" to a "zero" between two resistors from '+' to "ground". Making it sort of "preudo symetrical" power supply. This did render me a 1.3mV DC offset (meassured at the phono connector) over the huge resitance inside the meter which would be a lot less with the low resistance the cartridge is, which will also lower the voltage offset in a simmilar manner. I could for sure (or should I say shure as we are talking phono here :-) ) put in the DC blocking cap again, but the sonic improvement was of the order that I would like to avoid that, and 1.3mV is just 20% of the 1kHz signal from the cartridge.
